MET SQUARE

Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza is an 800KSF regional mall in central LA. The Owner retained The Wolf Group to provide pre-acquisition due diligence services and to assist in overseeing the redevelopment of the shopping center, renovating the mall, adding a Rave Theatre, adding a stand-alone restaurant building on an outparcel and adding inline shops on one of the outparcels.

The Solution

The Wolf Group was retained to prepare the RFP’s for both architectural services and general contracting services, conduct interviews of the various firms and recommend the firms best suited for the projects. Upon selection we negotiated agreements between the architects and contractors and provided the guiding oversight to both groups to achieve a master plan and master budgets for the development. The Owner retained a development partner from the LA area to assist in the redevelopment. Shortly before the construction started the Owner asked The Wolf Group to take over the development role to complete the project. The project was completed in 2012.
